Quizzes:
You will be given a 10-point quiz on every Wednesday.
It is either an in-class quiz
or a takehome one. In-class quizzes will be easier than takehome
ones. Quiz problems will be from homework problems and examples given in class
with number changes. I'll drop the lowest 2 for you.
Homework: Homework problems are given in the SYLLABUS. You
should do ALL of them if you want to do better in exams and quizzes.
Although you are not required to hand in homework, you are welcome to bring
questions to class, and if you want me to grade some of your homework problems,
especially even numbered problems, please hand them in. Even though there will
be no credit for homework, I do encourage you to try those problems because
doing homework is the the best way to digest what you learned in class!
Maple Worksheets: There are seven Maple worksheets to practise in this semester. You can download them from the course webpage, and you can reach Maple in any open computer lab too. Please visit the course webpage to get sample Maple worksheets.
Help: Help is available from me during my office hours,
or by appointment.
Enjoy Cal I and Enjoy
this semester!
