Maple printing in campus computer labs

There have been problems printing from Maple in some of the campus labs. Please make note of the following:

1. IMPORTANT! Before you attempt any printing, save your newly completed Maple worksheet on the hard drive or your own disk. If printing causes a crash, it will then still be possible to try again without losing an hour's work.

2. When printing from Maple, select the Apple LaserWriter printer by clicking on the down-arrow in the Printer section of the Print dialog box, and then hit OK. Within a few days, this procedure will work satisfactorily on all machines, or so we are assured.

3. If you follow the procedure in 2. you may find that Maple gives a message indicating that it is printing, but no output is produced. In this case, the particular desktop machine you are using must be configured to use the Apple LaserWr iter. You may be able to get someone at the lab to help with this, or you might try moving to another machine with the worksheet you saved on your disk.
